Hi All,
Can anyone help me with P.T.Taylors post on identifying FSX aircraft.
"To determine if a model was built with the FSX SDK, use a file viewer or hex editor to look at the file. Near the beginning of the file, you should see the characters "MDLXMDLH" if it's an FSX model.
As a newbie, can someone run me through, chapter and verse, how to do all this as I would like to download some more true freeware FSX aircraft.
Thanks very much

First open up notepad, and then drag the .MLD file into it.

most of the time when you go in download section of this site the presentation text tells you exactly if the model is true fsx or adapted from an earlier version.
