More cellphone images from work:
March- The Empire State Building on a misty night; seen from the top of Rockefeller Ctr.
January- one of many server towers in some LAN room somewhere in NYC... yes, it is 7 feet tall, and loaded with drives.
September- installed a phone-relay antenna system in a swanky steakhouse in what used to be a bank... leaving this vault door intact was a nice touch... and probably
much easier and cheaper than removing it.
June- the faded glory of Symphony Hall in Newark... in need of more renovation, but it's still a wonderful-sounding room with good rigging, etc. And I can see my house from there; that's my kind of commute.
Eventually I'll get around to taking more proper pictures there... it's a beautiful old theater with many interesting features.
Taken with the Canon- in the small theater upstairs at the Hall, in what used to be a TV studio... believe it or not, the lighting grid is still patched with this old contraption (connects dimmers to circuits on the grid). Old school, but it works. So far, very little that still works has been replaced in this venue, LOL.
Always reminds me of Lily Tomlin as Ernestine the phone operator in the old
Laugh-In skits: "Number, pleeyuz..."
November- setting up a ginormous rock show at the arena...
