I'm p/o'd at Megascenery. Doesn't look very real to me. Add shows a shot of Fed Ex field but all that shows when flying is the old RFK stadium on the Anacostia river. It looks like the original scenes in FS9. I have all the files set at priority 1 thru 13 in my settings. Sent them a e-mail and complained and have not received an answer. All my virtual acft at Andrews are gone. The base is barren. All I get is AI flying around. Thanks for listening to my rant. I'm done.  Exclaim

You've apparently done "something" wrong then... Just what is not apparent, but becoming agressive or angry in your request for support is not the best approach.

Keep in mind that you are not their only customer, and if the product did not work "as advertised" for other customers... Well, then you can imagine the furor that would have created in the FS universe!

Try some humility and ask, what could I have overlooked?

I did ask. They didn't answer. I'd love for them to give me some advice.

I don't blame you.  Overall I don't like them because they don't care enough to provide support.  They'll just take your money.  Never answer any questions.  Very inconsistent quality too.

I have not been able to get into their support forums for over a month, it is like they shut them down.

I came to the conclusion along time ago not to ever expect any support from MegaScenery.  Reading through their forums when the link was working it was apparent that they do not support their product.  All questions for the last year at least have went unanswered, the only answer you would ever get was from other users.

Anyway I just wanted to let my experience be known because the person who started this thread is not wrong in stating that there is no customer support and if anyone can actual get into the MegaScenery support forums I would like to know because I still can not get in.

So what are you downloading, maybe I can help.  for starters you say that they are priority 1 - 13, if you mean in you scenery library then they are to high.  You need to move them down so that they are below any addon airports and addon scenery like marinas / harbors or whatever, that is why you can not see your virtual ac at Andrews.  Also if this MegaScenery that you added has an Andrews AP you need to disable it by finding the Andrews bgl file and renaming it from andrews.bgl to andrews.bgl.passive, this is only an expample since I have no idea what the andrews bgl file is called.

Rod

Granted I haven't needed any kind of support for it really, but I really liked the scenery packs I bought for Colorado.  They are very realistic, and much more detailed then the default scenery.
I fly out of Longmont and Boulder, CO alot, and I can follow roads I know; mountains are where they should and can be used for nav landmarks.  I can even fly over my house and recognize it.
My only complaint is that there is no winter or snow scenery inlcuded. Sucks flying mountain passes in FEB and the mountains look like they should in June or July  Smiley

Idaho, I'll try lowering the priority on the files. I've got all weekend to play around since we are expecting 20-30 inches of snow here in metro DC. But I will be at the VFW Sunday afternoon for the party/game!

Looks like that may have fixed it. Scenery looks better.
