You've already seen all my good photos from last year |(the ones with airplanes in them, LOL), but I've been cleaning up my graphics folders (oy, what a mess!), and noticed I had a bunch of fun pics, mostly cellphone snaps... been a while since I posted pix here, so thought I'd share.
all resized, but no cropping, etc.
Phone snaps from August:
some buildings in lower Manhattan; don't remember where exactly.
Excellent noodle shop, Chinatown, NYC.
Yes, that's a yeshiva across the street... that's New York for you.
Some work pics, from a stagehand gig at Giants stadium (the AC/DC one-nighter):
From the stage... This was the morning of the "out" (we started right after the show ended). Still taking down the upper part, then there's the tons of steel scaffold and decking that is the stage itself.
Some riggers on steel booms near the stage.Might look scary but I'd rather be up there than on the deck when stuff is being flown and rigged. Things fall down, not up.
I got pulled at random from stage duty to help load the trucks as parts and racks of parts came out... one big crane loading 14(!!) flatbed trailers just for the stage stuff. The PA, lights, etc, went into a bunch of semis inside the stadium. It was easy work for me out there, not much for me to do, but after 15 hours on the job, the sun started getting to me, LOL.
