Hi all,
I joined the site the other day and did a browse through the scenery section... all of it. Cheesy Today I read a post about some Chernobyl scenery and thought "I don't remember seeing that". So I clicked the link and it took me to a page I hadn't seen, it also didn't recognise that I was a premium member.

I have noticed that in a couple of areas, the page style changes, is it possible that there are areas of the site that have lost their connection with the rest of it?

I have just noticed that the page in question is FSX Scenery Page 2. But if you go to the downloads section, then FSX scenery, then click on the number 2 at the top, it actually takes you to page 18, not page 2. It looks like the first 16 pages are not linked to the other pages as clicking 1 takes you to page 17. I don't know if this happens in other areas of the site too.

Hi,

Can you be precise about this please?

I have looked at FSX scenery page 2, downloads page -- site map and cannot find a broken or wrong link in or out of the members area.

If you can tell me where a link is wrong I will fix it. Thanks Smiley

I think you mean the links at top right in this shot.

...

The numbers are the pages in the new system which starts at Page 17. Thus clicking the 2 will take you to Page 18.

The only Chernobyl scenery I can find is on Page 16. http://www.simviation.com/simviation/static.php?ID=63&page=16

PS. You can navigate to the earlier pages from the Site Map. http://www.simviation.com/sitemap.htm

Hagar: Yep, spot on.

I just presumed that if you clicked "Scenery", it would take you to the first page, but it actually takes you to the first page that has numbers on the top... Page 17 in this instance. Clicking on "earliest files" is what takes you to the real start of the files.

Very confusing at first, but now I know the getaround, I can deal with it.  Smiley

Edit: Still can't understand why I can log in, but when I get to those pages, it thinks I am not logged in.  Huh

I can't replicate that. Can you give me an example? Thanks Smiley

Hi Pete, it doesn't seem to happen now, but I now get a slightly different login. I now get presented with a "Main Menu" & "Express Member Login" option that I wasn't getting before.  Huh

Maybe it's just taken a little while for my account to settle down, or maybe it's the internet fairy trying to make me look stupid... and succeeding.  Embarrassed

It appears I spoke to soon. I had been looking for a working version of the Electra L-10 and was directed to the one here http://www.simviation.com/fs2004props37.htm

As you can see from the picture below, I had already logged in through the Express member Login, yet when I clicked the link, it gave me the "become a premium member" download dialog box.

Hi,

The person gave you a link in the free section.

If it happens again just take note of the page and go to that page in the members area ...

Ah right, I presumed it was all the same section and it just recognised that you were a member... didn't realise it was 2 different places... I guess that explains it. Smiley

Thanks Pete
