It's a new term at college and I am starting the production of my AS level design technology piece.

Today I was cutting out all the parts on our school's LASER cutter, but sadly it wasn't cutting very well and took about 4 passes to cut properly.

...

...

That is about half of the wood section of my project, a new sort of mirror where it folds over for you to have a poster on the other side. The 100 holes are for lights - Sadly I could not get the LED lights that I wanted, so they hold Christmas tree lights for purpose of demonstration.

The above images are the top and sides of my project.

Still to do:
Completely cut through the bits as above and sand them
Cut the other half of the wood out and sand that
Cut the plastic pieces, mirror, poster housing, etc
Glue the mirror assembly together
Glue the wood parts together
Paint wooden parts
Install lights
Produce final project.

So expect some updates in the near future

Cheers for looking

[nitpick]The YAL-1 doesn't "nuke" stuff. To use the word "nuking" implies that you are going to destroy something with a nuclear bomb. Wink The YAL-1 employs lasers to shoot down nukes.[/nitpick]

I know that, but "nuking" can also refer to microwaving.
I like to use "nuking" as a general term for burning, blowing up, ect. Cheesy

And, theoretically the YAL-1's laser could be used against ground targets.
