I have been watching the default Beechcraft setting with engines running and the parking brake on for the last 15 minutes - has not moved an inch.

I have only observed the "creep" on one or two aircraft I have downloaded over the past few years - most do not exhibit this behavoir - and never I have I seen it in any of the default aircraft.

So I feel safe in saying it is NOT a FS2004 issue as the OP would have us believe.

strange if its happend on 6 differant pc's with all differant systems. all high end pc's with and with out of a joystick.

even with out a joystick its moves inches...
and beechcraft baron is the only planes i don't have any any problems with.... and the only payware plane i don't have this problem with is the 747-400 from pmdg...
i did try it with 100% of throttle and it still stay in the same spot. try that with a cessna or other planes... it just runs of like there is no brake....

like ms trainsimulator they release it too early not all the option are working good. because 1 issue MONEY!!!!

microsoft simulators are allways full of problems
and issues, its a not finished open platform.
so open that you can chance allmost everything while playing..

if anybody knows a simple program to make short movies of ms fs etc let me know i make a movie of it...
so you can see it you self. i am also going to show every every setting every ini file etc so you can see  that it not me or my pc's or my joystick is the problem Wink

Paul, he's talking about parking brakes holding at full throttle. I'm not sure many people have tried that.

I believe the OP said is throttle was at 0% - not full throttle.

To the OP - I run ver 9.1 but do not believe that is a factor as I do not remember any creep before I updated.

...

look a simple picture of it.........

well i am tired of discussing this item.

i know my self and i have many many good mods made for many many games.

i know 1 thing for sure i am not the problem!!!!
also my pc and joystick etc strange it happed only in fs 2004 old or new fs programs no and i repeat no problem with brakes or any thing of that kind.

i have almost every MS Flightsimulator.
i have more than 800 flying hours registrated with fs passengers.

i got 10 real hours on my belt in a real Flying simulator.
x-plane i have used , falcon 4.0. no f*@king problem with any of those.most of them i have played on this pc i use right now with the same joystick. i have installed ms fs 2004 many times to try fix this problem. still every time it happend. not only when on parking brakes with 100% of throttle.
like i said it also happend with out  a joystick and al the keys of the throttle unselected.

i am a beta tester for many games and programs.
because i am allways finding things other people don't find.

so end of the discussion

problem solved by adding more brake pressure <found on most real life Manuals. send to me from differant aircraft Manufactures ,like cessna.pilatus ,boeing , cirrus.
i found that most things are correct but hydraulics
most of the time are not correct... after i have chance it to proper settings  ... the problem is solved.

like i said people forgetting lots of stuff also people at Microsoft......

its only human to forget things.....

as real as it gets........ Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy

Hi gastoff,

Could you please tell me in detail in which way you solved that issue ?
As I confirm the problem exists just like you describe it in my FS9.
How did you manage to increase parking brake pressure exactly ?

he fixed the problem by increasing the TOE_BREAKS=###### //BREAK SCALAR in the affected aircraft.cfg file under the section of [Breaks]

(taken from the Cessna 172 in FS9)

[brakes]
parking_brake = 1        //Parking brake available
toe_brakes_scale = 0.68  //Brake scalar  <~~~ Make this a higher number to stop moving forward when you have parking breaks / trigger breaks applied

OK, it works in holding still the aircraft, but if that value is increased too much, the plane needs around a 60% N1 to move and brake apply stops the plane abruptly. Is there any value resulting to an acceptable plane behaviour ?

I 've no idea Rich. Nor do I know how to fix it, if this is the case.
Anyhow the issue exists. I also know very well that it is completely unreal, at least regarding jet commercial airliners.
There is no point to give a try with engine off, as there is no problem with engines off. The issue appears with engines on and parking brake on.
