With all the stars that have been dying recently, maybe it's time to celebrate the great man's films, while he is still alive. Smiley

I liked him best with Dom DeLuise in CannonBall Run. That is a classic movie.
However I think Jackie Gleeson made Smokey with many fantastic one liners like "You sonbitches couldn't close an umbrella!" or "There is no way! No way, that you can be the fruit of my loins. The first thing I'm gonna do when we get home is punch your momma in the mouth" Grin Grin Grin

Burt was offered the astronaut role in Terms of Endearment, but turned it down to do Stroker Ace (1983) because he promised a friend. Jack Nicholson was second choice for the astronaut and went on to get the Academy Award for best actor.

Poor Burt, he sacrificed himself to entertain us! Grin

Stroker Ace, includes Lonnie Anderson (batteries sold separately)

At first, Burt couldn't act his way out of his hat but what a force of nature.  Remember the English girl he married before his stardom days - last seen, by me anyway, on Rowan and Martin's 'Laugh In' - the 'sock it to me' girl.

Judy Carne, born Joyce Botterill. I always preferred Goldie Hawn, who is still an attractive woman.
