Hi,
I have recently updated my TH2GO setup from 3x19" to 3x22" from standard to widescreen monitors.
FSX was running fine in fullscreen, but now I have a number of problems. I have the typical black 2D panel, crazy cursor issue described in another post on wsgf - fine.
My biggest grip is even when sticking to a VC if I hit the brakes - or get another on screen alert (overspeed for example) the screen flashes several times (showing what looks like the contents of the previous loading screen as it has "loading 100%" box centered on it).
Switching back to 3840x1024 and it goes away. Also windowed mode seems to cure it - although windowed FSX is not for me.

Using latest Nvidia drivers - 195.62
Did have 182.50 which seem a FS favourite and they were no better for this problem.
Could this be related to the 2D panel issue also?

Any other FSX users out there have a clue?

Cheers.
Gav.

For the crazy cursor, you will need to go into your panel configs and add the line "pixel_size=" for each 2d window

For instance:

[Window04]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=400,100
//window_size_ratio=1.000
pixel_size=400,100
position=0
visible=0
ident=10010
//window_size= 0.340, 0.120
window_pos= 0.663, 0.890
zorder=7

note, that I have commented out the window_size entries.

As far as the flashing screen problem, I am in the middle of a rebuild, and now I am experiencing this problem as well, for the first time.  I am not done with adding things back in like Nhancer, or tweaking the config, or what, but if I find a solution, which I will, I will tell you what I think fixes it.

And my biggest gripe with Matrox/Nvidia is that I can't get any of the higher screen resolutions to work except with 1.82/Beta Powerdesk and then only 4320x900.  I have tried every solution of WS gaming forum Angry  I see an Eyefinity in my future!

FLASHING PROBLEM when you hit the BRAKES

I got it!

As I said, while doing a rebuild/complete reinstall (For DAYS!!!), I have also been getting the flashes.  Didn't happen to me before.  I think this will work for you:  You must uncheck the Anti-Aliasing checkbox in FSX.  Download Nhancer from www.nhancer.com and follow Nick's tuning guide to set that up which will provide much better AA anyway.

Some other things I did in addition to turning off the anti-aliasing:  Disabled Tool Tips/Flying Tips...Also, went into the Nvidia Control Panel and set Nvidia for Single Display instead of Multiple Display.  I don't know if those things had any effect on the flashing...it didn't go away until I disabled the AA checkbox, which if you are using Nhancer, you should anyway.

I would be curious to hear if this works for you.

How bizarre.
I had already tried this before (suggested on wsgf) without success, but this time it does seem to do the trick at the moment.
Like you I have been doing a rebuild and had not pushed through with the normal stuff (nhancer etc).  Still I must've changed something - hmmm.  Ho hum - lets hope it's a while till the next rebuild.
I was rushing somewhat, I just wanted to check out the 3x22" + 2x19" combo that I have waited a while for.  Shouldn't have jumped the gun Smiley

Cheers alot for getting back to me I was getting rather glum.

Cheers.
