If I had the money I would have already switched from 32 bit to 64 bit.  Wink

64bit allows for more RAM usage without OS hacks, as well as a few other performance enhancements.

The only downside to using the 64bit version is that some programs don't have drivers for it.
Granted, these programs are getting pretty rare now, and have been replaced by more current & compatible versions, but, if you're like me and use a few older programs that you just cannot live without, then it is a smart idea to check and make sure you can obtain all of the necessary drivers first.

Other than that issue, it's always a good way to go with the 64bit version of any OS.  Wink

Ok. I see you all reccomend 64. However, I have been googling and it seems that many .bat programs do not run in 64.  Also, I have read that the main advantage is the ability to use more ram.  I am only going to have 2GB and do use some programs that are patched with .bat programs.  Is it worth the hastle for me? Will I notice any advantages over the 32 bit in my current level of technology?
