Just another few shots 'Hagar style' from further west along the south coast. No snow down here yet Doug.
Had a quick walk up to the coastguard lookout & lighthouse at Berry Head.
Bl**dy cold it was as well, not that these woolly mammoths (yes they are!!) seemed to mind:
A quick glance across Torbay back to Torquay:
Berry Head lighthouse, the lighthouse has the distinction of being the shortest (only a few feet high) and the highest lighthouse in the UK, being 67m (191 ft) above sea level. According to local legend anyway:
The lighthouse & Coastguard lookout:
Just a quick shot heading back west:

So I see. Nice clear air though. Great shots of the woolly mammoths.
I thought I was daaan sarf. I would say you're in the West Country.
It's raining here now so all that there white stuff will soon be gone. It's still bleedin' slippery though.

Nice shots. Love the woolys.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

We had another 3 inches of snow last night, didn't stop me getting to work (many who live far closer than me couldn't make the effort)!

I think you have hit the nail on the head Matk. I was reading the news and there were pictures of "abandoned cars". They all sat in a what appeared to be a couple of inches of snow. This last week, I have been driving to night shift in temperatures down to - 18 and up to 5 inches of snow. My journey to work is 50km over country roads. I really cannot understand how it is a dusting of snow brings the UK to a stand still

The main problem in this area has been black ice. The local authorities seem to have been caught on the hop & no gritters have been out although they had plenty of warning. Even walking was a dangerous occupation. People in the town centre going over like ninepins.
Fortunately it's all gone now.

I must have counted more than 30 abandoned vehicles on the way to work this morning. Oddly they were nearly all "posh" cars, e.g. BMWs, Mercs etc. All big heavy front engined, rear wheel drive cars that are not good in the adverse weather but terribly popular with managers and other talentless fat lumps...
