Yesterday, December 16th up near Postbridge, pretty much slap bang in the middle of Dartmoor - 1400ft asl.

What a fantastic day for the middle of December, not too cold either 1 degree C out of the wind. Took the opportunity for a quick 5 mile walk before stopping off at The Warren House Inn for a fantastic pint of Dartmoor Best. Luvvly jubbly.

The road that leads away from The Warren House Inn:

The view across the moor, I would be walking down through the first valley, around the edge of the 'hill' that has the wall running over it & then back up through the second valley & back across the top to the pub:

Crossing over this small bridge I noticed the little red sign on the nearest post in the picture:

Had to have a closer look. Stupid farmers, there's no such thing as trolls these days, except on t'internet:

But, the sign was right, there was a troll, sleeping on the stone just down to the left  Grin
...
