Not to t/j but that brings up a question for me. I have recently edited the aircraft.cfg file for the BD5J to add some nav lights to it. They work as planned and I moved the cockpit light to better illuminate the panel. So far so good. What I'd like to do is add a landing light. I can add one in the file and put it anywhere I need but it just glows, it doesn't project forward like a landing light should. I use the standard fx_landing effect as used in many of the original aircraft.
So is this something that I need to add to the 3d model or am I just using the wrong effect?

The triangular light splash we see on the ground is part of the 3D model and therefore not end-user modifiable.
As you have learned. what we can add in the aircraft.cfg is only the glow we see around the light source.
Hope this helps.
cheers,
Joe

I was afraid of that. I don't have the source model so I can't modify it. Thanks for the info though
