No video yet, but it should be on the link before too long.  Looked to me to be a Lear 45 making a belly landing here a couple hours ago.....probably the gentlest belly land I've ever seen!

Happy endings are ALWAYS the best!!!

KCPS is (was) my home field where I learned to fly. Don't know why he couldn't set it down there unless they lack fire and rescue equipment.

30L/12R is 7500'

The "live" shot news story awhile ago made it sound like they did the divert due to facilities.  I would presume that they maybe didn't want to keep a runway(s) closed while awaiting pick-up equipment.

Besides, the latter part of the story mentioned (blowing the dust off) the new (seldomly used) billion-dollar runway being used while they have the cross runway closed.

Soooooo, you must be familiar with Mid-Coast?  I grew up with a few of their longer-term employees.   We used to hang in the hangars sometimes at Lambert when I was in high school.  They were all plane washers then.

I'm familiar with Mid-Coast at Parks. Used to eat a lot at Oliver's Restaraunt after flying, and visit the lounge on Friday afternoon after flying or classes.

We were in Hangar 10, and I used to work for Cordel LaBrier at Ideal Aviation while in college. We shared that hangar.
