just got this as my first payware for FSX. Loving it!

Oh and is there a way to get rid of the red text that displays the current view setting?

My specs
I7920 4ghz
Asus P6T Deluxe V2
6gb Corsair DDR3 1600
BFG GTX285OCX
Windows 7 64bit

Gavin, those clouds are looking very nice. For the red text in the top left, press shift+z several times till it dissapears. The top right text, view setting, usually goes away after about 30 seconds. Wink

There is a way to get rid of all red text in the fsx.cfg file, but I'm not sure which part to modify? Undecided

make a backup of the original fsx.cfg first

Under the section called

[Display]

look for the following lines and change them from True to False

InfoBrakesEnable=False
InfoParkingBrakesEnable=False
InfoPauseEnable=False
InfoSlewEnable=False
InfoStallEnable=False
InfoOverspeedEnable=false

for the slew info

The sections called

[TextInfo.1]

[TextInfo.2]

and

[TextInfo.3]

Just delete them or the relevant info as required.
