msvcr80.dll Runtime Library.

Hello Chums...

The dreaded "msvcr80.dll eror" is suddenly popping up in my Firefox Browser...again... Angry...!

No problems with my standby "Internet Explorer" and "Opera" Browsers... Smiley...!

I have uninstalled and reinstaled my Firefox Browser umpteen times, cleared out all the History and Cache Data, checked, and cured any Registry errors with my Registry Mechanic Tool, ran various Spyware, Virus searches, prayed for forgiveness at the bottom of my Bed each night, and still the error pops up, forcing a close-down of my Firefox browser each time!.... Angry...!
I think it occurs whenever a Site decides to "display" certain "Programs" within the Firefox Browser, requiring "msvcr80 dll".... Angry...!
The various sections of my Windows Registry, etc, show all the necessary msvcr80.dll's in place where they should be... Smiley...!

Downloading and installing msvcr80.dll NEVER cures the problem....trust me!.... (well known!)...Wink...!

It is annoying, because it closes down my opend Firefox Browser every time it happens!

It is a well known problem...but at the moment, it only affects my Firefox Browser.

I heve reinstalled/repaired my Windows XP SP2 with no luck.

Any ideas Chums, on the is annoying, and common problem?

Paul... Wink...!

...displaying my .dll's in the privacy of my own home...Wink... Grin...!

...(just installed the latest .NET Framework 3.5)....

Try updating Java.

If that doesn't work, view the solutions on this page:

Ta, NNG...Wink...

..just installed the latest version of Java.... http://www.java.com/en/

...will see if that cures the problem*.. Roll Eyes...!

(It only affects the Mozilla Firefox Browser).

Paul.... Smiley...!

* Update: No luck...The msvcr80.dll error still occurs, and shuts down the Browser!

Its no good....I've even reverted BACK to Firefox 2, and still the dreaded msvcr80.dll error constantly occurs in Firefox...

I now have to use "Opera" exclusively as my Browser (with no major problems)!
