I built my own airport in Airport Design Editor. How do I add ATC to the airport. So I have the taxi to takeoff permission, takeoff and landing clearance, etc in the ATC window?

Thanks in advance,
-Brandon

Add some Comms Frequencies such as Tower, Approach, Departure and so on.  In ADE go to Lists>Comms and then click the Add button.

Thank you. How do you make it so that it says the name of the airport, like "San Diego Tower" or San Diego Ground" when getting takeoff, landing, taxi clearance, etc.? (San Diego is the example tower name. Currently it just says "Ground" and Tower.")

Using EditVoicepack, a custom callsign can be created and then added for the airport. I am not sure whether, if the airport name uses already-used elements, it would automatically say the airport name or not. My own airport "North Star" uses fairly common terminology, however ATC would only state generic "Tower" and "Ground" until a voicepack file mod was added.

if you AFCAD221 you can add Comm Frequencies "tower" "ground" "clearance delivery" "ATIS" etc you know what im getting at.

it will save the frequency info in the AF2_(name of airport).bgl when you go to your airport en-sim, and you hit the `/~ key to pull up ATC window, then it should give you the option to talk to ground -- Taxi to runway/parking. Tower; Clearance Delivery, etc you know what im getting at.

COMMS are set in AFCAD221

-- you might be able to do it in ADE, but being that i do not have ADE... i dont personally know if it can be done.   I DO know that it can be done in AFCAD because i have done it 2 times, with my 2 airports..... not to mention I have added fequencies to about 100 other airports around the US.

If you haven't switched to ADE9X, you really should. Why continue to use a program that is dead to futher development, and has some rather well-known defects?

ADE9X is a freeware program that's a continuation of the original AFCAD by Lee Swordy, and has not only corrected all of the mistaken assumptions Lee was forced to use (having to depend on reverse-engineering), but has added so much more functionality that currently there's no need to use six programs for a complete airport, scenery background, and scenery objects.

For example, when adding an ILS to a runway, ADE9X will also automatically create an "approach" including missed-approach and holds...  Grin

For advanced users, one can also create custom STARs...

For new scenery, one can also load individual model files (.mdl) without the need to convert them to a Library .bgl file first...

I get  Cheesy considering all the possibilities...
