This is not something you can just "add" to existing aircraft in FS2004 or any other version.

Such stairs (which fold back in the fuselage before departure) are built into the model by the creator of the aircraft.

If he/she did not specifically include them in the model then they are not available.

The instructions which came with the aircraft package should tell you which key combination is required to lower the stairs - check that first.

Most will use the normal exit opening command (the stair deployment being a part of the cabin door opening sequence) - Shift plus E.

Hi lukyjanik, welcome.

Erick Cantu's FFX 737-300 to 500 models (and also his Kittyhawk 737-700 and 800s) have stairs that are activated by the wingfold command. All you'd need to do would be to assign a key to that command and you're set. Search in the downloads section using 'ffx' or 'cantu' and you'll find lots of these.

You have to do that yourself - wingfold is not set as default (options/controls/assignments).

The excellent new Lockeed L749 package (which is available only at Flightsim I believe) displays wheel chocks and a set of mobile stairs when the engines have spooled down and the parking brake is set by using the usual Shift plus E key to open the exit door.

This package works in both FS2004 and FSX.

There are many of the Kittyhawk 737-800 models in the download section here in different liveries (e.g. http://www.simviation.com/fs2004jets131.htm). These all have the built-in airstairs.
