Saw there was a thread for PSN players, but nothing for Xbox LIVE.

Figured I'd show Xbox LIVE and its players some love... Wink

So, are there any fellow players here?  Huh

I play and have had Xbox Live for many years, but I don't really add anyone to my friends list unless I know them.

It's more that I don't particularly like playing games with strangers, no offense  Grin

I don't usually have the time either way. Not to mention my headset is broken and I don't want to buy one of their stupidly designed ones with the mute button on the wire, I liked the original design.

I'm usually on COD MW2. You'd probably recognise my gamertag if you saw me.

I see where you're coming from...

Whenever I go online in MW2 I never use a mic and stick to FFA.

I only use my mic when I'm playing with someone on my friends list or someone I know is fine.  Tongue

I would, If I could find an 8 core CPU and cell graphics processor equipped PC that would run games at even a fraction of the smoothness that my PS3 does.

In the last 4 years, I've spent a little over a thousand dollars upgrading computers to play games, and never getting it right, there's always another piece to the puzzle that needs solving.

I just spent $300 on a PS3, and won't ever have to spend a dime on upgrades.  That, and just about every good game on PC either comes from a console, or goes to one eventually.  Roll Eyes

I had an Xbox 360 elite, and sold it after I discovered how much more expensive it was than a PS3.
The console itself is cheaper, but after you buy everything for it to equal what a PS3 does out of the box, it winds up costing several hundred more dollars, and you still have to pay for the online play.
The fact that PSN players get to play online for free was reason enough to switch to a PS3. Xbox live is a money making scheme that I can't believe gamers allow to exist.  Undecided    Things like that, only encourage M$ to make all their games Pay to Play. (think MSFS)

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.  Cheesy

The usual argument is that we all know we have to pay to play, but we don't care. It isn't very expensive. When I was 14 or so, I had a job which would've paid for Xbox Live for one year, for one day of work. It is a good service and a pretty reasonable price.

Millions of fans can't be wrong.

And what the hell, my GT is TDV MachineMan

I may add you but I won't be able to chat and I typically prefer playing in matches on my own, so there isn't a lot of point adding me  Grin

This a thread dedicated to Xbox LIVE.

Shane, that was a completely unnecessary post, and honestly has me starting to question the legitimacy of the Moderator title under your name at the moment.

So, everyone, keep the appropriate discussion in the appropriate thread... please. Smiley

Excuse me?  Huh
I feel My post was entirely on topic within the confines of the post I was responding to.
If you look, I was responding to a post that had nothing to do with the threads topic, and then managed to tie it in with the topic of XBox live.

I hardly think that you are in any position to question the legitimacy of my position, or anyone else's position here for that matter.

Okay, I'll admit I could phrased that better, but I stand behind my questioning of your position, especially since that unnecessary pm you decided to send.

Now, I dont want a fight... I've never questioned any of the staff here since I joined, and I've always tried to be respectful of the staff and the rules. But that should be a two-way street. You could have simply stopped at 'I perfer my PS3 to PC', but you continued on to attack the xbox 360, xbox live, and Microsoft.

Now, I tried to do something nice for xbox players... but it's not working so well. So, those with the power to do so, lock this thread if you see fit.

Seriously, since when can't a Mod or anybody post what they want in the thread, it is a public forum. Mods are human too and all Shane was doing was expressing his views on XBox, even if it was not within the confines of your post. Threads can very often at times change or go down a different path when somebody else expresses their views on the subject. You might as well be annoyed at BFMF for saying Quote:
I avoid console games as much as I can...!
as that also had nothing to do with your post.

You make me wonder if you would have responded to me the way you responded to Shane if I posted this because I don't think it deals directly with your question but does have to do with XBox...
I have always wanted to get XBox as the graphics seem cool and it also looks real easy to power it up, play and not need to worry about upgrades or tweaks. It just works! Hopefully I will be getting one in the near future as my 2 daughters love playing some of the games at my neighbor's house.

Hope you understand  Smiley

The Snake 87

Just as it is.

I haven't played that much lately, but I do play it a lot on break times from school. I play Halo 3, CoD 5, Forza 2, NHL 09. Hopefully I will get MW2 soon. I have a close to full list, like only 1 or 2 spots left lol. But I play with pretty much everyone.
