As far as I can tell there is only a faq on the Eaglesoft site about this aircraft, which doesn't tell me much.  I have an issue with the sound being far far too quiet for my preference.  I guess they are simulating noise-reduction headsets...Does anyone know any way to increase the volume in some config file short of actually turning up the volume on the computer?

Hi, and at the risk of sounding a bit off, have you tried the Eaglesoft support forums?

Typically they've encountered these issues before and someone has written about them.  If not, the Eaglesoft team is quite good about addressing the issues.

I don't know about FSX without loading it up, but in my FS 2004 Sim I often re-arrange the various Sound volumes to suit various Aircraft....

Are you elaborating on Fozzer's honest and appreciated attempt to assist me, or are you just trying to get in some kind of a jab?

Elaborating on Fozzer's post; sorry if it sounded like offence. I don't think there's any other way short of increasing the volume of the original sound files.

If your speakers came with a volume knob...

...why don't you just dial that up as appropriate?

Well, I could run a different config file for that particular aircraft, or, I could, as suggested, change the sliders directly, which will reset certain things in my config file (like texture max load, for REX), or I could just change the volume knob as was also suggested, which will cause everything else to boom.  Increasing the original sound set volume might be farther than I want to go, but that is a darned good suggestion too.  I asked because at least one plane I know of, the DA Cheyenne, actually has an on-screen config option to select a noise-reduction/non-reduced sound set.  Just wondered if any body else who had this plane had run into the same thing and been able to toggle something somewhere.

Then I suggest that you re-read yours.

You read that there's a FAQ, thus telling me that you didn't actually go to the Eaglesoft support FORUMS and post your problem.

I suggest that you go over the the Eaglesoft site, sign up in the forums, and post your perceived problem there.

(and note - the "perceived problem" is only because, what you think is a problem, may actually be "built in")

At the risk of being shouted down, Felix is pointing out what is not immediately obvious. Must admit that I missed it after first reading his suggestion as I didn't read it properly.

You need to register on the Eaglesoft Support Forum to access the full forum & post a question on it. You will only see the FAQ if you don't register & log in.

There is a whole section on the Support Forum devoted to the Twin Comanche. The logical place to ask about this aircraft would be to post your question there. http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/forum/

If you already know this I apologise in advance for attempting to help you.

Did you even bother to read the post!!!!????? Smiley Smiley Smiley  Just kidding.
Thank you Hagar, I think that very much clears up some of the misunderstandings about what actually constitutes a "visit" to the support forums.  I'm nominating you for the Nobel Peace Prize, just so you know

"Sound engineer" as in you work with actual sounds?  Because otherwise, a sound (as in mentally) engineer is an oxymoron - there ain't no such thing!  You have to be nuts to be an engineer!!!
