After the halfway point, we have a couple of new faces, and a small change to the judge's line up. The scores are still tight, so it's still anybody's game. Onward to the end!
Scores After Round 5 : Team X : 1502.25 / Team 9 : 1496.75
THEME #6 : "Head in the Clouds!"
Create a shot that shows a stunning cloudy sky scene! Your ground scenery will do you no good here, so...
DO NOT INCLUDE THE GROUND IN YOUR SHOT!!!!
There must be an aircraft in the shot.
There must be at least 1 cloud in the shot.
The sky & cloud addons are so amazing today, that it shall be your only scenery tool for this round. Good luck.

No ground at all.
The possibilities for this theme are endless, if you approach it correctly.
The biggest part of taking a good screen shot is using your imagination.
We're just limiting the tools you can use, to focus the imagination a bit more.

Hmmm, been thinking. Being that this is with an aircraft that is not available to everyone be it freeware or payware.... is it still allowed?

Welcome to the team. That's a very nice start
If you've got a few spare megabits on your computer, I'd really recommend using HDE (available here in SimV for free -
http://www.simviation.com/simviation/?ID=85&page=23&mark=6470
- the file is marked in yellow).
It is a cloud texture set used by most FS9ers as well as some FSXers who don't own REX (it works perfectly fine on FSX (I use it)
apart for the sky colours - don't install them
).
You shouldn't worry about performance as there are 5 different cloud qualities available. Try it - trust me, you won't come back to the default clouds!
Keep the good work up Xers.

Not sure if this is a valid argument.
If I was involved in something being developed but not available for public use or did a repaint but didn't put it on a flight sim website, should either be allowed for a contest?

The rules as posted do not mention anything like a beta test aircraft or addons that are no longer available. In my opinion, it does not violate the rules, but that's just my opinion. I don't see anything wrong with the beta test, a no longer available addon or a paint job that has not been uploaded. I do not see where it would give anyone an unfair advantage.

IMO something that is no longer available is quite different than something that is not yet available. Reason being is that at one time, that something (IE rex contrails or anything else) was available to the masses. But no worries, X-men are just getting started!
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

And I pay a yearly fee here at SimVee, so is everything I've loaded from here ruled inelligible ?

To make this simple, if you can download it, and install it into your flight sim, you can use it.
Custom creations are another issue though, but that would probably take a serious investment of time to pull off.

Got to agree with Frequent.
If Mic had to miss, I'm sure he had a good reason, sometimes, real life can just be a pain like that.
On another note, there were a lot of shots that showed the ground.
Good luck to all, some amazing shots using limited resources.
Now that's true talent.
