Well Ive opened all ports needed as stated here:
http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1252421080
http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/port2(3).jpg
I doubled check my routers port forwarding and it is all correct according to shane's thread.
Ive used another port checker,(Port forward) and every port I use is not working.
Ive tried this by disabling and enabling my firewall.
I do have a static IP address.
Will update as I get more information
EDIT- forgot to saythat my ports are set as UDP in the forwarding and in firewall settings
EDIT- I see this under admin settings.
UPnP
Used by certain programs to automatically open ports for communication.
and this is enabled, should I try disabling?
could AVG 9.0 be conflicting with this?
btw I am using a linksys WRT54g
Wow ^&&@ this guys now telling me that I have to contact linksys... and I am number 60 in line!
seems some of these have program names
accordng to
http://www.gwebtools.com/port-scanner/
not sure if i could allow stuff through this?

Two of them should be set as TDP, and did you also do the router part, and the static IP?
Not all systems will work with the Static IP, so if you did it, and it's giving you a problem, try reverting back to the default static IP, and see if that helps.
I had a similar issue with the Static IP, and when I reset mine to default, the FSPorttester passed.

so if for example my default router ip is 192.168.56(local ip right?) and I set my static to 31 I should reset to 56?
And I have 47624 and 80 set to TCP and 23456, 6073 and 2300-2400 set to UDP
and I cannot change my static IP to my routers ip
says it is already in use.

All of your Windows firewall ports are good.
Did you use this for setting up your Static IP:
http://www.portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm
Here is the page for setting up
your
specific router:
http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/WRT54G/Flight...
This step is important because you're telling your router which IP is the static to forward FS to.
Enter your static IP in the box provided, and follow the steps, and it should have you set up.
If it still doesn't work, then you need to revert the Static IP back to default. ( You'll know it didn't work if you cannot access the internet. If you can still get online, it's good.)
If you have already done all of this, and it's still a problem, then it is more than likely an issue with the ISP and you'll need to contact them to find out if they are firewalling your connection in any way.
Just using this process, I've successfully done 3 different systems, 2XP & 1 Vista, in two different states, and only 1 of them (mine) wouldn't work with a static IP, but they all pass.
If you're running any hardcore, active, anti-virus programs, it may be worth checking to see that they're not blocking things inadvertently.

this is the only one I can find that has most of the ports :|
as you can probally see i am missing 80 and 23456
EDIT- Did a port test and the ports through the modem that I am allowing still don't respond
and it is saying when i use the static nat button, it says address is not part of the private subnet
and yet another edit, first person I talked to helped me get tothe modem thing. Called back due to them telling me I have to do it on the computer hooked to the modem but it was in use...
Call again since i could do it form my computer :| :| :| :| asking the above... and she knew nothing that could help me but "our adv tech said that you have to contact linksys. I tell her they told me to contact you guys. "I don't know sir, Ive done all that I could for you.
Alright I am getting a lot of ports to have OK
and others to time out, i check them and they are fine according to me firewall settings.
I do a second test and this time some of the ones that timed out were OK and vice versa
After a good amount of test, its starts timing out at around 2322-2335 and around 2360/1 to 2375
going to try and set this up on modem by it self even though my modem is allowing it
does not work, and it is timing out randomly for 6073 again

a little update.
It seems AVG 9.0 doesn't like port 6073.
Are there any virus software out that that are more "port friendly"
BTW this is the resident shield I am talking about that blocked it. I can allow execptions, but it isn't that clear.
One, I can allow paths from folders, or 2 make a list.
And this looks like a blank word doc....

I got a little worried there for a second.
I just did the upgrade to AVG 9.0 last week, and never thought to retest my ports.
Ran FSPort test and everything is still good.
I haven't touched AVG at all, so what ever the settings were when it installed, is what it's at now.

mine are the same as well...
what is still weird is the fact that 2322 through what ever, and other ports still time out.
And I checked them all and they all are udp. I even deleted 2322 and remade it and still it doesn't work

[s]ok now it all boils down to 2974.... it is set as a UDP port in linksys
[/s]
I had to un trigger the ports in linksys
then somehow one of the ports switched to TCP(2300-2400 that is)
and one of them wasn't going to the right address)

You guys probably know what you're doing .... I didn't and configured the wrong Network Icon (in the System Tray) and FSHost kept going to the wrong page when it tried to Register. After I straightened that out ... works great! So, if you have a really weird problem ... just something to keep in mind. ALL of the Port Testers listed in this forum fail for me ... with my Hughes Modem .... but if I go here
http://www.canyouseeme.org/
and check them out .... they ALL WORK!!! So in my case anyway .... the port checkers I've been trying aren't really a good test.

I dont know if anyone else is having problems, or if any of you are STILL having problems, but there should be a thing in your Router Configurations to set up what is called "DMZ HOST". You lock it to YOUR COMPUTERS ip address (192.168.2.X) and it will allow all communications "for games" on all ports. I use it religiously because I too run FS2004, FSHost, ATCRadar Screen 5, FSNav, TeamSpeak Server & Client. As you can assume, there is A LOT of communicating going on in a matter of milliseconds, I need EVERYTHING open and I dont feel like figuring out what each needs individually and then setting up to 100 ports for each one... thats up 600 ports!!!!! NO! Just use DMZ HOST.

Capt.Propwash,
Thanks for your response .... I'm just catching up. I have no router except for my Hughes HN7000S which can't be accessed .... but the plan is to install one anyway. Lot's to learn him .... and I'm working on it.
