I was going through my past screenshots and photos and I found some which I thought went together quite nicely.

...

Comments please.

Cheers

I like how its dark, and slightly out of focus.... then there are the bright lights that really stand out.

My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

I tried to make it look as if it was quite misty and then have the lights shining through. I'm not sure if I succeeded but thanks  Grin

i like the lights!

ps.  i too flew the grob vigilant with the cadets. up in RAF Kinloss. great fun! if the weather hadn't got too bad and i got my last flight in, i would have been the last person in the UK to learn to fly before the millenium.

Thank you. It took a little while to get used to how GIMP does its lighting effects but I like them when they do work.

I've been up to Kinloss before (a lovely bus trip from Sandbach) and I think it is a really nice station. I haven't been able to fly for a while... I am nearly old enough to apply for my flying scholarship and I've heard no word about the gliding yet  Grin

Garry, may I ask what you find hard on your eyes, just so I can improve in the future. Is it the darkness with the lighting or the noise and blur?

One thing that's hard on these old eyes is your position lights -reversed.  This model has that built-in.

Goodness... Red goes on the left doesn't it  Grin

I just followed the lights that were already there and stuck brighter versions on top of them

Port wine is red.  Don't feel bad - several people have screenied that model and the lights are always that way.  Must be from the Southern Hemisphere - coriolis force perhaps  Smiley

I just remember it anyway as being not what you expect. Usually 'red' and 'right' sound like they belong together, so I just remember that they aren't.

I might try and change it around if I have a backup that old.
