Make sure the "aircraft.cfg" has the .cfg at the end, it looks like it is just "aircraft" at the moment.

Sad nothing and most of my aircraft dont have .cfg after aircraft

...if you just "click" on the File, some hidden text detail often pops up!...(like .cfg ..etc, after the name)....Wink...!

Click the Apply to All Folders button, then OK.

This is for your convenience & will not affect the aircraft in any way. I see your paperairplane has no Panel folder. That's the reason it won't display on the FSX aircraft selection menu. To fix it paste a copy of the Panel folder from any of your flyable aircraft into the paperairplane folder. It will be listed under Mead as manufacturer. To finish the job pop a small screenshot of the aircraft named thumbnail.jpg into the Texture folder.

I always have my "Show Hidden Files" box ticked....

...but many of my files with "long names" only show up completely after clicking once on the file to highlight it...(some of the text, etc is hidden).

I think it conserves space associated with the Icon, by condensing the text under it.... Roll Eyes...!

Particularly noticeable on File Icons with long names on the Desktop.... Smiley...!

Paul....you cant see me...I am condensed!... Wink...!

Again that will depend on your View options. Try double-clicking in a clear space in the window & select View/List from the drop-down menu. Experiment with the other options.

This is the Tiles option.

Set it up to suit the way you work, not the way that Uncle Bill thinks you want it.

Here is what default FS2004 KEDW looks like.
I quickly drew out the general plan.

Green Dot = Show Center
Red = Spectator Area
Yellow = Active Runway
Blue = Ground travel path for performing aircraft. Note the runup area. It will serve as a very short term waiting area for the next performer to get ready for takeoff.
Also note the blue arrows, showing suggested routes for runway entrance and exit for performing aircraft.

B-valves, if you could make about a dozen spots in the red area for this field, it would be appreciated.

[img]

Taxiway A is the one on the far left, next to the runup area, and will serve as the designated taxiway for all departing aircraft.

Taxiways B and C are located centrally and at the far end respectively and will only be used for arriving aircraft going into the spectator zone.

Exiting the runway at taxiway B is preferred.

The active runway is runway 4.

I'll have this done in the next few days.

Cool

Wondering: Since we can only use FS2004 planes, what about textures. For example, I have the free REX grass, jetways and roads, should we put the default textures back?

Global textures shouldn't matter. You can keep what you have installed. Just aircraft compatibility and repaints are what matters here.

Remember if you install 3rd Party Aircraft textures from "other" sources and apply them to your Aircraft, they wont appear to other Pilots...
..the same goes for certain "Effects"...they wont appear in Multiplayer...

In actual fact, the only Aircraft, Scenery, etc which is sure to appear to EVERYONE in Multiplayer, is the "Default" set!....its the way Uncle Bill designed it!..... Wink...!

...(Which is why I mostly use my Default Beech Baron 58 in Multiplayer....everyone has it, and everyone can see it!)

I'm allowing third party repaints for your aircraft of choice, but just remember to let us know what and where the livery is.

Good evening gentlemen!!

It's been a while.  Smiley

Not sure what I'll be flying yet, but bag-see me a slot and I'll let you know in the near future (still getting fs9 up and running again). Will be nice to catch up and do some flying with you chaps again.

Ta for the reference to me at the start of the thread btw. Smiley

Well I will probably be doing this.  I will either be in my mod extra 300 or doing a flyby in a large jet.  It depends what I get for Christmas.  Cheesy
