If this was December date, I would try to make this. I would most likely get FSX in a combo with my computer parts I hope to get. SO hopefully I will have my custom PC, have good graphics and be able to change my settings to play with you guys. If this happens, I would be on the "Maybe" list.

2pm Eastern is 6am here in Australia, might not make it. However 4pm Eastern is 8am which isn't as bad, which were you planning on using? Undecided

Would love to make an appearence and possibly do a display in a Sabre, Section F8 works in both sims. Smiley

FS2004 has a nice, trouble free built in Multiplayer function.  All we do is enter the server IP and connect.

What FShost does, is fool FSX into thinking it's FS9, and allows it to connect in the same way FS9 does.

But even with FSX, you still have to make sure your ports are open.

SO......

FIRST, and most important, EVERYONE who plans to attend, must read & follow this thread, EXACTLY, or you will have connection problems, as well as causing a connection problem for others. Wink

http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1252421080

Anyone suspected of not having opened their ports correctly will be kicked from the session.  There's no sense in spoiling everyone's fun, for not having done such an easy task.

When that is done, To join the server in FSX, do the following:

-Before you start FSX, click the FSHostClient.exe

...

-This will pop up:

In the IP address window, enter: fs.netfrag.org like I did, and click 'Search IP for sessions'

...

-When it finds SimV's server, click Connect at the bottom. The chat window will pop up. Wink

...

...

Now, start FSX in Windowed mode, and leave it that way.

Set AI traffic to 0%  and lock frames to 20 and you should be good  to go.

So if we use FS 2004, then we don't have to open the ports? Sorry if I misunderstood.

Cool

My guaranteed, problem-free, every-day set-up for Flight Sim Mulltiplayer.....

FS 2004....ADSL external USB Wired Modem with no Router...single direct connection to the 'Phone line....all Ports automatically Forwarded upon connection.... Smiley...!

http://www.zoom.com/products/adsl_overview.html#5510b

I know many Folks have to use a Router for one reason or another, but my single User Computer doesn't need one, so I don't have any Port Problems/Conflicts with my direct connection to the Internet via a simple, low-cost ADSL Wired Modem.... Smiley...!

The "Port Test" always checks every one, and reports; all ports "OK".
