I've recently downloaded a scenery, and I had all but two of the required files for it, the two I don't have, no longer appear to be obtainable from any download site.

Does anyone have the files :

ai_tb_demo.zip:  It is a Thunderbirds formation display package.

woamil12_207955.zip:  USAF B-1B: Dyess AFB Complete Package Version 2   (I've got version 1, but it won't work)

If someone has these, and could send them to me, please PM me.  Smiley

Please, to makers of ALL addons for MSFS, regardless of what ever issues you may have with one site or another, please, please, PLEASE, upload your work to more than one location so that it does not wind up like all of these lost, avsim exclusive files.

It's a real shame to lose such fine work, over such things as exclusivity.  Cry

Edit- think this version you may have as you said
Edit again- It looks to be version 2. and from the looks of it, it looks pretty interesting
Think it works for FSX?

I can't get the first link to work, and the second link leads to a page that I've tried, but the link there goes to the broken avsim library, but that is the one.  Wink

Thanks for the help though.  Smiley

I think the point that Shane is making is that the author of this file uploaded his work exclusively to Avsim. If the file was lost during the recent problems there is no alternative download site. It's lost for ever unless someone that previously downloaded it can either upload it or mail it.

I presume you've tried contacting the author to see if he still has it?

But he also asked if anyone had it iff they could pm it Smiley If someone on that forum does then they could help him out or point him into the right direction

Good thinking. I hadn't thought of that. Wink

Asking at MAIW is just what I did.  Grin Wink

Glad I did too, I've just received the Thunderbirds pack from the author of it. It was at flightsim.com under a different file name.

They say that MAIW has the B1 version 2 file, but I'm still looking around there for it.

It's probably right under my nose.  Embarrassed    Cheesy    Wink

I'm assuming that this one is not the right version?

(Click on Texas, and there is a Dyess B-1 pack there)

That one I have, but it's version 1, and the scenery requires version 2.

Not sure what the difference is, if any. But if I can't find version 2, I'll have to see if that one works.

It could even be the same one, just with different file names. That gets rather confusing after a while.  Shocked

It's for the MAIW 1st anniversary airshow display scenery.

It places a field in the Bahamas (Works field), and then you install a bunch of different military AI packs for it, and then sit back and enjoy the airshow.  Cool

Not sure if it would work in FSX, as the package relies heavily on formation flying, and being that FS9 has a flat Earth, and FSX has a round one, there may be timing issues in the display, and I'm not too sure if any of the airfield scenery will work in FSX.

Worth the hunt for all of the parts.  Wink

Edited:

MANY, MANY, thanks to Mike JG and mikewmac over at the MAIW forums for helping to track these two packs down!  Smiley
