Things seem a little slow in this forum, but that's understandable since this isn't a builders site. I enjoy reading and responding to many of the topics here and like it very much here. Especially the Real Aviation and Aircraft forums.
Here's a little something I put together over the last five years in this hobby. I get a lot of enjoyment from this 727 and it's as close as I'll ever come to sitting in one again.
This is a Lufthansa 727-230, D-ABHI, that was retired or sold long ago. I don't know if it is the exact Lufthansa configuration, but it's close enough for me.

I uploaded for you, but I had to leave a few as links to keep from going over the 600k thread limit. These are too nice to not be here.
Thanks again for sharing them.

It was an accident.
I started with a couple of panels I built for the desktop and that led to an overhead. Then I wanted a throttle so I built that. Not being satisfied, I built the control stand to mount it on. Then I wanted a yoke to ditch the desktop toys.
Then I needed a chair...
And I got tired of looking at a 19" monitor so I needed an instrument panel...you can see where it led.
This whole this has snowballed over the last five years. I had never intended to build a flight simulator. What I mean is, I didn't sit down one day and say, Yep, I'm gonna build a 727 flight simulator.
After installing the instrument panel I knew it was too late to turn back so I built the rest of it. It's only a 3/4 shell though as there is a chimney in the way of the FO's side.
Most of the home-made panels have been replaced with Boeing made or contracted panels in the overhead, forward equipment rack and center control stand. The instrument panel and yoke is from a retired 727.
I guess I have around $7K including computers and monitors. Maybe more, maybe less. I'd really rather not know.
Four computers run the simulator and all of the monitors. It's interfaced using input cards from several vendors and FSUIPC.

Let me know if you've had a look at them yet. I'm going to remove them at the end of the day.
I have re-sized them and attempted to upload them to this server, but the resolution is still making them three to four times the byte size allowed.
Reducing to smaller size looses too much detail. I'd just as soon remove them to comply with the rules.

Yea I have a few images I wanna upload real bad but every time i reduce the size and try to upload I get one or more of the mentioned issues (IE loss of quality or size limit exceeded) and i've done just about every thing i can think of in short of saving in a different format which also tends to loose the quality

The rules are the same for everyone. Most of BSW727's images were actually within forum limits.

All I did was compress them to 150 or nearest, and upload them here. I didn't have to do any resizing to them.
8 pics at 150kb was a bit much though.

Shame you compressed the shot of the throttle quadrant. The quality has suffered terribly. A link to the original at Photobucket would have been fine.

You really think so?
I compared them side by side and didn't think they looked too terribly different. But then again, they did lose a couple hundred thousand kb apiece, so there's going to be a bit of degradation. Hopefully someday in the future, that 150kb limit can go up a little.

Yes I do. I noticed a couple of those shots were much larger files than the others. Compressing them would obviously affect the quality. Pity I didn't think to download the originals or I could show you what I mean. Perhaps BSW727 can post the links to them.

Unless it goes up considerably I'm not sure it will make much difference. Most people seem to adapt to the rules without too many problems.
This has gone way off-topic & in danger of taking credit away from BSW727's excellent work. I think it's the most realistic simpit I've ever seen.

I use the quick checklists provided on a card with the manual. Most of the yellow manual is flight planning and performance tables and charts. The first flight of the day checklist is by far the longest. I don't run that one much unless I have a lot of time and a second pilot.
The bottom two are training manuals for the aircraft. You could literally pass your FE exam with these two books.

Thanks Rot. I had a nice flight into Linz yesterday and was following the STAR into the airport and then joined the localizer for 09.
Had everything dialed in correctly and was on speed and configured and never did get the GS to start my descent. I knew something was amiss somewhere so I paused the sim and brought up the FS chart to compare against my paper charts.
No GS on that end in FS! Localizer approach! Damn!
Called the miss as I couldn't get it down safely fast enough and did a procedure turn using LNZ for the other end. I would have landed mid-field + on a 9,000' strip. I didn't feel too comfortable with that.
Need to start checking these real-world charts against the deficiencies in FS.

Neither one.
This is the Dreamfleet 727. Engine guages though, are by Richard Probst. The Dreamfleet engine stack would not integrate correctly into the panel file because of the way that it was coded.

Well I know it doesn't draw 20 amps when the whole thing is fired up. The sim room is on a circuit by itself and so far so good.
Four computers, six power supplies, seven monitors, 200 watt amp, 100 watt sub, and so far no smoke.
