Tee-Hee.... Grin...!

...as I spend a lot of time cruising around the U.S.A. in my FS 2004, and studying in great detail the various areas via Wikipedia, etc, as I "fly" over them....

If you had the chance, in which State/City/Location would you like to live?

There you go....as an American, what would be your best choice of a place to live in America (USA)?

Paul....(I like where I live!)... Wink...!

If in the US, the best places to live are towards the middle of the country.  You couldn't pay me to live near the east or west coast.  Of course, I'm more of a country conservative type person.

If I had the choice?  New Symrna beach, Florida.  I love the area and since it's an undiscovered little town, no one really knows about it.  Also daytona beach is just 15 away, so if I feel the need to party... Roll Eyes Grin

Depends upon how much towards the center, continentally speaking; blizzards and tornados are devastating in a vast, nigh flat, expanse where, after the corn was cut down, you could see your neighbor twenty miles away. Our wooded, hilly northeast usually kills the blast before it gets very far, the coast being the more vulnerable; rain dribbles down through the trees rather than smash into everything on the ground. Unfortunately, large portions of forest are being cut down, leaving them open to the weather, save for the effect of the hills.
Upper New York state is like another country compared to concrete-clad New York City or, even, a smaller metropolitan city like Boston, Mass. When I was in the midwest, many there thought all of New York State was like New York City.

I enjoyed growing up in Wildwood Il, but from the day they paved my road and started building around the hamlet things went downhill. I do like hot and dry so my final destination might be Arizona. Or Nevada.

Where I live, the winters get cold, but the snow storms are usually not all that bad.  The worst I've seen since moving here has been 7-9 inches.  Out your way I hear they have that thing called lake effect snow, and you measure it in feet.   Wink

Personally I prefer the south, like the Gulf Coast.  I grew up on the coast of Mississippi, and even though we have to watch out for hurricanes, I still love it there.

We only rarely have lake effect snow in early summer but it's melting before it hits the ground. There is more frequent heavy winter snowstorms but nothing like the bus-burying snowdrifts I plowed through in the Iowa side of Nebraska (and there was quite well enough snow when I went through Iowa). With very little to block that blowing wind, the wind chill made it feel much worse than here.
Also, quite strangely, it was either late January or early February when I was in snowball fights on Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS. Most all was melted by the next day's end.
