For those people who are interested in the fine art of wood making and such, i thought i would post up my project made for my woodwork class this semester.
The plan was simple make a table cut a hole in it and drop a piece of glass where that hole is meant to go.
Well most of it turned out all right.
Im using Vic Ash/Tassie oak which is very nice timber may i add.
Then i saw Time warp a show where they slow things down and on this show they made a table out of glass. The laminated a pain of tempered glass in between 2 other pains smashed it so the glass didnt go and where and presto. so that where my glass fits in. im going to make that effect and it should look good. i hope
enjoy

Nice build Leigh.
Are you considering applying a stain/finish on the oak?

Nice work, I like it! The shattered glass does look pretty cool in there. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
I'd put it in front of my couch!

It's only trees that get blown down by storms, not things that trees get made into. Your table would've been fine.
