Simviation Forum - Where can I find Lukal/Meigs Field Scenery

Does any one know where I can find freeware scenery for Lukal, Nepal (VNLK), and/or Meigs Field, for FSX?

There was a Meigs Field at Avsim, go over there and see if it is still available. If it is I would advise not to load the AI traffic files, they messed my AI up.

The scenery was still there, and it is showing up.
But it does have a bug, the runway floats above the island that it is on, so when you land on it FS registers it as a crash. So I just have to remember to click "Ignore crashes and damage" before I land.

I never noticed that, I will have to check it out.

Anyway when you want to expand your horizons you can download Airport Design Editor (ADE for short). It is freeware and you can use it to modify the airport so that it will not float.

I checked it out last night and I did not have a problem landing on the runway. I am using FSGensis, UTX and SceneryTech. I do not know if that is why I do not see the problem, but I do not. I will say that the waves of Lake Michigan do crash over the south end of the runway so in my setup at least the rundway is the same level as the lake.

I did notice that when you go to the select airport menu Meigs does not show up in the drop down menu, does it show up for you? The strange thing is that it shows up on a GPS screen, but does not show up in the drop down airport select screen.

If you taxi off the side of the runway/taxiway onto the sand, your plane will drop about 2 - 3 ft.

Also, Meigs does show up in "Slect Airport" for me.
