I'm looking to add on some really well done aircraft to FSX and came across the products from Captain Sim. I'm considering getting the Boeing 767 (and possibly the 727), but I would like to hear some opinions before I puchase any of these. How realistic is the flight model? The web site photos look great, but what do you owners think? Does all the detailed geometric modeling cause any performance issues?

You need to know that their B727 does NOT have a 2D cockpit.  They don't make it very clear at their site.  I was happy with it at the price I paid but I had to build my own Cockpit.

No problem, I only fly with 3D cockpits. Other than that, how do you like it?

Be advised that you need Acceleration before the XLOAD F/A-18D will work

I've once made the mistake to purchase their 757 for FS9. Talk about a resource hog. Flying it turned FS9 into a slideshow...

The 767 is good, bit frame unfriendly  Undecided Can't say for the 727 though, the exterior is very detailed and frame friendly, overall I hear good opinions, and not many people complaining about the frames.
All the rest I fine run fine  Wink

Thanks for the feedback so far. Can the "frame unfriendly" models be tuned to use less compute cycles or are you stuck with what they give you? I'm particularly interested in the 767 for its realism, but if it will significantly drop my frame rate it defeats the purpose.

I've generally found their aircraft to be enjoyable, but keep in mind that many users in various FS communities across the web have reported severe deficiencies in Captain Sim's customer service principles and attitudes.
I used to get a lot of use out of their excellent 757 for FS2004, and as long as you keep in mind the potential for customer service issues, I would recommend their aircraft.

When I first bought their 757 for FSX, it was filled with bugs and ran terrible. Now, after the 4.3 patch, it runs perfectly smooth and has few bugs, if any. The quality and detail in all their products is amazing!

I can personally attest to that. I could be that Russian doesn't have a "friendly" tone, so their true intentions don't translate...

...but its more likely they just got the business end of a NKVD baton still stuck up their ass.

Their products are good, but not worth the 50 or so Euros that they demand. Wait until Christmas, they like to do their 9.99 store-wide sale once a year, and load up then.

Jeff, thanks for the great advice about the Christmas sale. I will wait until then and "load up". Also, thanks to everyone else for your feedback. I am definitely convinced to get their products.
