A while back, I downloaded the latest 8800GTS driver and, being the amateur I am, neglected to first uninstall the old driver.  Now graphics are essentially gone from FS9.  After Googling and trying various uninstall methods - manually or using "drive sweeper" and "nasty file remover", uninstalling from 'add/remove programs' and 'device manager'.  All to no avail.  Not knowing exactly what files should be where is a real problem.  Registry entries seem to show up OK so it's somewhere in the "all users\applications or start menu" "\NVIDIA" "program files" or "WINDOWS" folders.  If there's more, I need to know.  Expert advice gladly accepted.
Intel dual core E6300 2.8/Biostar G31E-M7/8800GTS/650W/XP.

Drive Sweeper should get the job done but you need to do it from Safe Mode

Thanks for the response.  Have been observing all the safe mode instructions and today, for laughs, just reinstalled the driver on top of what I had.  It appears that all the boxes are filled and FS9 is getting more lively.  Tomorrow I'll try another reinstall on it and see what happens.  Landed at your downtown airport, back in '77.  Spent the night at a Hilton just across the street from the transient tiedown area.
