Hi, Could anyone tell me why i can't call up the fs9 ATC window while i'm using multiplayer? Does it depend on which host i'm using on fshostspy or something???
Thanx,
Stephen.
Sad Just browsed the forum, and it don't seem possible.

ATC doesn't work in Multiplayer mode.... Wink...!

All your Communication with other players is done via the Chat Window...

...Air Traffic Control is not involved.

Unless you would fly on a network like Vatsim where you have live ATC. You actually have to talk to an Air Traffic Controller.

www.vatsim.net

or another one:

www.ivao.aero

Or you can communicate by voice with others using Teamspeak (if they have it installed also).  It adds way more realistic immersion than typing when flying.  It is a separate freeware program that allows separate voice comms.

Fozzer, who cannot stand certain American accents, has an aversion to remembering this is also possible.   Wink

Is probably true. You need a certain discipline in flying on Vatsim or IVAO servers. The language used is real flightspeak so to say. No joking around there. That's what's keeping me far away from it too.

John, Paul is not the only one having difficulties understanding all those different accents. Although I do speak, read and write English very well (not being a native English speaker), I do have a lot of difficulties when I hear it. Now English English is not the point, African English I understand quite a bit (through my wife) but most other English accents, I can't make heads nor tails from it without subtitles...

The thing with me, after zillions of years practicing and learning how to "Fly" and Navigate various aircraft, I now fire up the M.S. Flight Sims, Solo, or Multiplayer, mainly for fun, sometimes with my Chums, and for exploring the World!.... Smiley...!

It has now become a "Fun/Educational" occupation, amongst all the other various Fun activities that I enjoy every day...nothing more!...Wink...!

When I was very young I used to watch Trains....but I never wanted to be an "Engine Driver"...I became an Electrical Engineer instead....much more practical for earning a day-to-day living!.... Wink...!

Paul...rarely taking things seriously... Wink...!

M.S. "Bass Fishing Simulation" never in inspired me to become a "Fisherman"...trust me... Wink... Grin...!

Too me too. I downloaded the trial version. It could use a spelling checker and it is just as boring as fishing for real.

Speaking about fish...
