Good evening guys, this is my first post/question thing here, so I apologize if this as already been asked before, but I have looked and posted this in multiple forums and have yet to find a solution.

After reformatting my computer (Boy, are porn and ED pop ups fun...), my AA in FS2004 went haywire. I have downloaded and installed nHancer and set it up again verbatim to the link in parenthesis, which worked flawlessly before. (http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=29041) Even though I do have AA, it is only for short distances. If it's further away, there are very noticeable jagged lines.

Aircraft-wise, only the Captain Sim 757 is effected. I've reinstalled FS2004 AND the Captain Sim 757 with the update to no avail. There are also jaggies in the horizon with any aircraft, but I'm not worried about that.

However, when zoomed in, the jaggies disappear.:

Same thing thing happens when you are in the cockpit. This is where it actually becomes troublesome. Because of the jaggies, it is sometimes hard to read the heading and altitude settings on the autopilot. Focus on the glareshield and the F/O position in general.

My video card is a nVidia 7950 GT if that helps.

Hello, I was reading your AA problem, and I am no expert on anything, but I recently bought a new computer and my video card is a GeForce GTX 280 with a Gig of ram in it. I had the same problems, even though I had the AA turned up to the max on the video card and also in the game. It was better with both AA's turned on, but it still had small jagged lines. The only way it would look sharp with no jagged lines was to run 1920 X 1200 resolutions which was the max it could do. Then it looked good. I thought there something wrong with the video card and even the help line from the manufacturer didn't suggest this. The only thing was, it just didn't do it on one plane, it did it on all of them. I hope this helps.

This may be a dumb question, but: are you sure you set FS9 so that the graphics card handles the AA instead of FS9? That's a common cause of this problem (including "intermittent" jaggies).

Yeah, I did that too, but everything would look streched and distorted. But yeah, I agree, it looks a lot better, but the headache I get from it is not worth it.

Does that mean leaving the AA setting box unchecked in the FS9 options menu? If so, yeah, I've already done that.

If that's not it, then how would you set FS9 so that my graphics card handles the AA?

Yeah, none of them show any improvement. The funny thing that I've just discovered is what when I turn off AA in both my graphics card settings and in the FS2004 menu settings, there is no difference whatsoever. Another thing is, nHancer doesn't work anymore! Everytime I try to install it, it says that it couldn't contact services. Great.

I'll try contacting Nick N, then. What is his forum username? I can't find him with the member seach system that you use when you send a PM.

This is probably one of the most frustrating issue that I've had with FS2004.
