Ok, I've done some fixes, and would appreciate some beta tests - I know there is still a transparent problem, that is a texture problem. I ve got positive feedback from Hagar regarding this and ive made that changes, so if you still see the problem and  know how to fix them  - please tell me?
oh and read the readme file - it tells the changes I made also  Smiley

the download link is HERE

after this phase is successfull, the moving parts is next  Smiley

JakesF14,

Nice little plane. I guess you know but the lights don't meet the wing tips, and the overspeed comes way to early for a jet thats going to be supersonic.  Smiley

Other than that, its a great little thing, and i'll be downloading one when you get it all done.

Thanx, as you may have noticed,it is a swing wing jet,and with the wings fwd,the lights does meet. But thats a headace for another day.  Now im only testing the model for the objectives in the readme file. Will work on the performance way later. The test cfg is based on a Learjet. Appreciate all the comments.

That's coming along nicely. The transparency is caused by the Alpha channel of the fuselage texture. I fixed it by making the Alpha channel white.

You might like to compare the display properties of your fuselage with the other parts of the aircraft that don't have the problem. I'm not familiar with Gmax so can't give specific advice.

I realise that which is why I suggested checking the display properties of your fuselage in Gmax. There must be something different from other parts of the aircraft which don't appear to have the transparency problem.

Thank you,you can do that, but  I think they have to be linked to the wings somehow for when the wings are swept aft and fwd?!

You are welcome, I don't mind- It is actually not even touched yet - just borrowed from a Cessna Citation Excell. I will work on the CFC way later - concentrating on the model for now! Glad you like it! I am busy wit animating the gear and swing wings as well as control surfaces  Smiley

You will need to use the gmax modeled lights for any animated parts.  The list is in the Makemdl SDK.  Here is a partial list of available lights (The name tags must be used as shown but can be appended with _02, _03 etc:

LIGHT_BEACON      A beacon point light is drawn, and the diffuse color is the light color.
LIGHT_STROBE      A strobe point light is drawn, and the diffuse color is the light color
LIGHT_RECO      A recognition point light is drawn, and the diffuse color is the light color
LIGHT_WING      A wing point light is drawn, and the diffuse color is the light color.
LIGHT_LOGO      A logo point light is drawn, and the diffuse color is the light color.
LIGHT_NAV      A navigation point light is drawn, and the diffuse color is the light color.
LIGHT_TAXI      A taxi spotlight is drawn, and the diffuse color is the light color.
LIGHT_LAND      A landing spotlight is drawn, and the diffuse color is the light color.

A material and color has to be assigned to these parts (which are typically just a 3 or 4 point very small planar) and it must be linked to a parent (light bezel or housing).  The parent must be linked to the wing.

The pivot of the planar dictates the location of the light source; the pivot of the parent dictates the light beam direction (Z faces backwards to light beam).  So, set them accordingly.
