WINNERS, WINNERS, WINNERS

Judge ManuelL says:
There were a lot of great shots in this week and I would like to thank everyone for participating. My votes are:

ShaneG!!

...

"Although there were some sophisticated edits in the race this week, I voted this shot number 1 because it shows how small and vulnerable even a plane like a B17 can look compared to the immensity of nature. The composition of this shot with contrails, clouds nestled between the mountains and a few stars still visible against the sun is outstanding. Well done, Shane!!"

CONGRATULATIONS ShaneG!!!!

The second place is a tie this week - I simply couldn't decide which shot I like better:

"SeanTK!"

...

"I think you have posted this shot before some time ago - and it is still fantastic. Normally I am not a fan of bloom, but in this shot shiny snow works very well. While the landscape looks beautiful, I am getting the impression there might be some trouble ahead flying up a glacier with clouds touching the surrounding mountain tops!!"

&

"Gtirob01!"

...

"This shot has an almost photographic quality and the colouration of plane and background are very harmonic. I especially like the details like the illuminated displays in the cockpit. They let you connect to the pilots. To me it looks like they are on their way home looking forward to a glass of beer at the bar!!"

Lunitic_8 takes home third!'

...

"The misty mountains against the sunset are utterly beautiful and the lightning creates a sense of distant danger. Overall an excellent shot!!"

Nice work on a great comp!

ShaneG is on the bench this week! Can't wait to see what he comes up with for a theme. Smiley
A big congratulations to the other finalists, and great job to all that entered.

Cheers

Mitch.
