Yes, the registered version of FSUIPC offers this useful feature, among many others.

Edit: sorry you wanted free.

Is this what you are seeking?

FSX AutoSaver 1.0. AutoSave simply saves your FSX flights automatically at a customizable interval of time. By Omar Damiani.

I do not know if it is in the library here - if not if can be found at Flightsim.com

I just installed it and this is how I got it to work:

Start FSX first and get into Fly Now mode.

Then start the Autosave program and set how many minutes you want between saves and if you want it to overwrite the previosu "save" (or create additional "saves").

Hit Start and minimize it.

If you set it to save every 5 minutes (as an example) a set of files named AutoSaver.FLT and AutoSaver.WX (WX being the weather settings) will be saved in the folder here:

C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files

If you set it to overwrite, those files would be overwritten every 5 minutes.

Hope that helps.

thanx Opa,

same here now, but on fsX in a 20mnt flight recorded only one for that flight (#2), the other don't know where it came from, please see 1st icon attached.

But in fs9 where I used it for years it keeps recording as you can see from the second icon.

The autosaved appear in FSX menu "Flights > Load Flight > My Saved flights"  & for fs9 in menu "Flights > Select a flight > Choose a  flight", where one can be readily selected.
