Those 14s look great, much better than the kinda drab 15s. Wonder why the AF doesn't do paint jobs as colorful as the Navy? I tend to like flamboyant.  Roll Eyes Cheesy Grin

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Hmm you see, The navy have special painters that do nothing else onboard the carrier than paint and play basketball and polish the cats (now hornets)! while the Eagle pilots have to do their paintings themselves! hehe!

The other problem with the Burners is that not only does the KC not have them, but the 15s would be burning through the gas faster than it could be passed to them from the KC.

And one might wonder why the CAGs from 2 different airwings would be escorting them.

Afterburners?

"Let's refuel at mach 1."  Cheesy

I like the idea, but as said above, there's a lot of things that could be better.

Edited:
One also wonders why the F-14s have their flaps down.  Wink

Cool

I have actually tried flying my F14 (seen below in my sig) around FL550.   At that altitude, AUTOPILOT ON, Auto-Speed hold 400 KIAS......... Afterburners were lit just to stay at 400 KIAS.   Depends on what flight level the KC was flying at that the birds would be 'burning.

but to be 'burning with Flaps down???? ummmm no.

Good shot overall.
