My JC entry. I'm kinda proud of this one, so I thought I would post it here for those that don't follow the contests.
Thanks for looking.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Thanks.
I probably should have used a different aircraft for more realism. I've gotten so used to the Otter NG, I forget that it's fictional.

The DHC-3 Super Otter is. The Otter NG is modified slightly, the most noticible, being the winglets and prop. It is what the designer, Eugene Heyart called, 'a fictitious airplane which represents the possible future for the current DHC-3'. He also states, "The Otter NG is equipped with a more powerful turbine, five blade Scimitar propeller and a new designed, more efficient main wing. With these changes the Otter NG overtrumps its predecessor in nearly all flight characteristics."
In my opinion, those mods could be made to a real world Super Otter without much trouble. So, even though the Otter NG is fictional, it is very possible.

File this with 'useless trivia'. That clump of grass, in the lower left of your shot is part of what they call 'goose island'. This separates the slow taxi channel, currently occupied by your Otter, from the east/west takeoff channel. Habitually occupied by migrant Canada geese, management puts several pigs on the island to eat goose eggs thus controlling the population - they hope
.

Trivia it may be, but I doubt it's useless. In fact, I find it very interesting, especially since (I assume
) it is to try and prevent bird strikes. Thanks for the lesson. Wish FS depicted Lake Hood more realistically.
Ahh, that sigh smiley is never around when you need it.
Cheers.
