Our British viewers may be aware that there is a clash between two programs appearing on British Television at the same time....>>>

What would you prefer to do?
(a) Watch "Strictly Come Dancing"?
(b) Watch "The X Factor"?
(c) Go down the Pub, meet your Mates, and get Rat-Arsed?

Emi loves Strictly, luckily I work on Saturday evenings and thus avoid the whole thing

Depends if I was allowed to take one of the dancers (girl dancers, not Ian Waite) from Strictly down the pub...

Pub bit is easy enough.
Mates bit is easy enough.
Getting rat arsed is just one of those degrees of getting wasted we have. Sober, tipsy, legless, drunk, pi$$ed, wasted, rat arsed, plastered, ****faced, ****ed, etc. There are plenty more. The more drunk you are, the more swear words are involved and usually the more interesting the word.
Most people over here will have reached wasted before they are 18. I love our drinking laws!
(You can only drink if you are under 5 years old if it is for a medical reason. After 5 years old you can drink, but that's pretty much down to your parents... Or go out to a party.)
I've given up on X-Factor all together. Jedward are just too annoying. Strictly is just something I was never interested in.

I answered that saying that's what I'd rather do. I understood what it meant, but thanks.
