Took the wife and squids to see 'Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs' in 3d and they showed the Avatar trailer before it. There are no words for how awesome this thing looks. I may go back just to see the trailer again!
It's kind of nice seeing a movie coming out that is an original idea and NOT:
A: Not a remake of a 1970's Movie or TV show
B: Not a Comic Book adaptation
C: Not a Video Game.
This film looks fantastic!

Avatar was both of these before it was a movie, as well as a trading card game I believe.
From the same Japanese Anime phenomena that brought us Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Digi-mon, and multiple other copy cat ideas. Avatar was one of the last to be made up, but
definitely
looks like it's getting the better big screen adaptation.

I think you got the wrong Avatar. Try this one...

This is an original script written by James Cameron, not the cartoon. People are so used to seeing material ripped off from other sources they don't even know an original idea when they see it. Not you particularly, just everyone.

Wow, you're right!
It took some digging through all the anime crap to find it, but it looks killer!

Can't wait to see this myself.

Ok, let's try this again...
The movie Avatar is in no way related to the TV show called Avatar: The Last Airbender
Say it with me now...
THEY ARE NOT RELATED!

They are not related.
They really should have come up with a different title.
Kind of dumb to use the title from a Japanese kids cartoon that's been around for almost 10 years.
That would be like Michale Moore making a movie about electrical power and calling it 'Transformers'

I seem to remember a trailer for a live action "Avatar: The Last Airbender."
