I downloaded a Dash-8 from my new VA, United. I was going to start my flight when im sitting at the gate and the back two wheels are planted on the ground but the front wheel is just bouncing the plane up and down. Sometimes a small amount, sometimes a HUGE amount.

At first I thought it was the game, so I tried yesterday...same problem. Now I had to fly so I taxied and everything, sometimes it would and sometimes it wouldnt but it is a huge problem.

Im looking everywhere for a United Express Dash-8 but is their a way to fix this.  Undecided
Im flying it right now and on the ground its a nightmare. Just until I log 20 hours. Shocked Wink

What's your balance like? Try getting the center of gravity closer to the nose Wink

Okay well was it in the Fuel and Payload? It was already at the center of gravity and everything in the payload was fine but I thought if I added more weight on the front wheels it would stop but it still did it and it make it nearly impossible to take off.  Shocked

Im just gunna guess this is a problem with this model and im going to contact my VA or in the aircraft wanted...im having troubles finding a Dash-8 United. Undecided

Are you flying the freeware Dreamwings model? Undecided

There is a fix for that somewhere...its part of the aircraft.cfg.  Stops the bouncing.  But if its another model I have no idea. Tongue

sounds to me that the contact point for the nose wheel tire is set incorrectly.

you will have to play around with it to see if you can get it to settle down.

I do NOT know which set of numbers it is, but it is in the section [contact points] inside the aircraft.cfg.

example: Default Dash-8 AI

I've had planes bounce up and down, but they quickly settle down if you give 'em a few seconds. I know nothing about manipulating the weight and balance. I deal with the machines strictly in a default configuration. I think the bouncing has something to do with the plane being loaded from the folder (or wherever it's kept) until it hits the screen and is displayed at the end of the runway. Lot o' zeros and ones flyin' around in those few seconds...
