Beliefs can be a strange thing. To add to it, there are always those out there trying to change your beliefs... scientists, doctors, clergymen -- you name it. One can go for years before finding out a belief of which they were so certain is wrong.

Sometimes one is apathetic, sometimes antagonistic when it comes to a belief they don't want to grasp; religious beliefs often fall into that category. Along with recent events, this brings to mind the statement that most people think more and more about the 'hereafter' question as they get older; obviously, I'm getting older and I now add the truth of this to my beliefs. Just a while ago, I stopped dead in my tracks. I just stood there... staring, at first, in disbelief...  then belief set in... as I asked myself, not but once, yet a second time, "Now, what in the world am I here after?"

Cool
