my frame rates for the first shot were very high... its just a fs2002 model of the vulcan, put straight into FSX.
as for the second shot, somewhat lower... i find lord howe island nice for fps, but the turbo mentor was a bit of a resource hit for my old comp! probably around 15-20. the sea is blended from fsx and a photo, the sky is blended too, and the aircraft and land is fsx.

i use the compression tools in photoshop, never used gimp sorry
