Hi all.
I downloaded a 737 a few days ago but noticed that during cruise, even with mach .82 the plane seems to fly at a particularly nose high angle. What do I need to change in the cfg file to rectify this?
Thanks!

You may want to mention which 737 it is you downloaded and from where, so others can help troubleshoot.

That being said, without knowing you and your experience level, most airliners due fly at cruise with 3-5% nose up angle.  That is apparently the most efficient attitude.

have you tried to trim the PITCH down?  are your flaps/slats / spoilers fully retracted?

Trimming down would just make the airplane decend, would it not?  At altitude, most airplaes fly in a nose up attitude while maintaing level flight.  If flaps/slats were extended, the aircraft would be flying in a more nose down attitude.

swept wing aircraft will fly level with a nose-up pitch. It can be even higher than 5º

yes and no.  if the Pitch Trim was set too high (nose up) with autopilot turned on, and then your turn AP off, the Pitch Trim will stay where it was, thus causing a severe nose up situation.    Trim the Pitch back down to see of the nose will fall.    The plane will only decend if the nose goes past (zero) 0 Pitch.

you, as well as davysims, and stevehookem, are correct in that aircraft will usually fly "LEVEL" if the pitch is +3º - +5º nose up.  If this drops to 0º or a negative number, then the plane will decend.

again.  Try to trim the nose down a hair to see if you can get it to level back out with +3 to +5º nose up pitch.

also, check make sure, that if this is happening while AUTOPILOT is turned on, you have enough thrust to help maintain level flight (you are not TOO HIGH in altitude), and also check your VS (vertical speed).  If you are flying at FL280, and your Altitude Hold is set for 28,000, and you have enough thrust; Do you have a VS of +anything???  If you do, you should NOT have a VS as you are supposed to be in level flight.  clear out the VS Hold, and trim the nose down.
