any idea how to adjust the landing lights brightness? mine looks so bright, almost unreal?

Search the SimV library.  Probably in "Gauges"....not sure.  I am almost sure there is a modification file there for the landing lights that makes them more realistic in brightness.

You could try Nick's lighting fix 2.

Third from the bottom

It replaces all the lights on an aircraft (strobes, nav, land, taxi) and also the airport lights with more realistic ones.
