Thanks for the comments! I was rather pleased with how this one turned out. To me it looks more "HD" than the original.

Just a thought from a rank amateur. What if you headed out over that thin sky cover ahead then reversed course, heading back towards the mountains in the clear. The sky cover is bright enough to provide a more contrasty background for the plane yet thin enough for the mountains to still feature well as would those in the clear. Just thinking in print
