As an alternative to "Worst Movie" ever made, how about the "Scariest Movie" you have ever watched?

Mine is "Descent"....>>>>

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Descent

It appears on the Television now and again, and after watching it the first time, I cannot bear to watch it again!

Realistically scary!

Paul... Shocked... Shocked... Shocked...!

...How about: "Deliverance"?... Roll Eyes...!

The only one that makes me run out of the room screaming is The Tellytubbies Grin
The first 18 movie I saw was The Thing by John Carpenter, that was good. Prince of Darkness by him is nasty... Alice Cooper is in it, 'nuff said!

On the rare occasion I settle down to watch a film nowadays the last thing I want is to be scared out of my tiny brain. Shocked

I think the scariest films are those where the horror is implied rather than actually shown on screen. Alfred Hitchcock was a master of this. Film makers seem to have lost the art nowadays. All we get is blood, gore & special effects.

If I had to choose one example I thought this was pretty good. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duel_%281971_film%29

The movie that scared me the most, was due to my young age at the time. After seing "The Werewolf", I wouldn't turn the lights off at bedtime and I would leap into bed, in case he was under it!

The Exorcist. I watched it while sleeping over at a friends aged about 9 and I didn't get a good night's sleep for at least 3 weeks afterwards. Embarrassed

My favourite scary movies: Resident Evil 1 to 3, SAW 1 to 5, The Grudge 1 to 3.

The movie that scared me the most was Nosferatu. Very old movie (1920's I believe). I saw it at my grandmothers house on tv when I was a small boy (maybe 6 or 7 years old). I've been scared of the dark for years after that evening...

The trailer for The Strangers looks pretty scary. I'm not good with things that can make me jump.

This movie scared the begeezus out of me, we watched it in the theater while I was in MOS school and halfway through I started just concentrating on the back of the chair in front of me lol I couldn't watch any more but I didn't want to look like a wuss in front of my friends by leaving.    Undecided  Grin

The Exorcist isn't scary. Like Soui said it's rather funny. Now Poltergeist on the other hand, I never managed to watch that movie. Ghosts and things like that are not my kind of thing...
