I upgraded my computer system, per specs below, last winter, but I did not purchase a new video card. Recently it is acting up and ready to die soon. Ive been looking online and would like some suggestions for a card that will accomadate my system without a financial overkill. I would like to keep the price under 400.00. Which card series would be the best choice...the 260, 275, or the 285. Will not get into the 295 right now.
Thanks,
Eric

I believe that Nick recommends the GTX 285

Im running a Quad Yorkfield 2.66ghz, 4gig Dominator DDR2 RAM and all Raptor drives on an ASUS P5K-E mobo's sata ports.  Picked up an Nvidia 260 at a computer club swap meet from someone who bought it and didnt have PCI Express port for it.  My FSX perf went from acceptable on the 8800 GTX I had to entirely satisfactory with the 260.  Get a 285 and your will be screaming HOWLARLOOYA AND PASS THE TATERS!
