BA in its present form is only 35 years old this year. BOAC was merged with BEA to become the nationalised British Airways in 1974. The airline was privatised in 1987 after record losses were written off by the government. As for supporting Britain, it does that when it suits itself. Doing away with the Union flag tail markings is just one episode that leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.
You might have gathered that our "national carrier" is not my favourite airline.
